Francis Hogan - Chef
Chef Hogan began his career in Philadelphia where he earned his culinary degree while mastering classic European technique. Eager to expand his talents beyond the kitchen, he graduated from Drexel University with a degree in hospitality management. To further his culinary experience, he studied in London and traveled through Europe learning from the masters of culinary arts. Upon returning home, Hogan opened his first bistro in South Philadelphia, a pioneer gastropub called 1601. Excited by a more pressing challenge, Hogan decided to relocate to the West Coast and accept the chef position at Ibiza, Seattle’s popular Spanish restaurant in Pioneer Square. As Ibiza’s success grew, so did Hogan’s reputation - he appeared as a celebrity chef on Comcast cooking show The Bite Cooks, and on Northwest Afternoon, KOMO 4’s popular live daily talk show. Attracted to the San Francisco spirit and its unparalleled restaurant scene, Chef Hogan moved to the Bay Area and brought his talent to popular fine dining hotspots Farallon and Two. He also taught aspiring chefs at the San Francisco Art Institute. Bringing his mastery of California cuisine to Soluna, Chef Hogan has invigorated the menu with fresh, seasonal ingredients and his innovative, well-crafted dishes.
